For all you LOST junkies, check out Sledgeweb's (DVXUser member) LOST page. It's WAY too much information for the average human, but could come in handy if you're ever stuck on an island with a bunch of crazy people...and wireless internet access. http://lost.cubit.net/
Wow, what a surprise. No less than 5 hours after my post, the season premiere manages to not only do what i said they would, dick us around, but do it with a REHASH EPISODE! aka, ROYALLY DICK US AROUND. I have no idea why networks do this. It pisses every single one of their viewers off. If you're selling a product, is screwing over your clientele good business? That's like buying a dozen krispy kremes only to find they're all donut holes. What a waste. F you Lost. You're one episode away from losing me.
Aren't they all lost in purgatory and have to redeem themselves somehow to get into heaven? Or maybe everyone else in the world is dead cos of nuclear strikes and they are the only ones alive, or maybe truman show...i dunno.
I dont watch television, but I just bought the first season on DVD. I've been watching the first season every day for the past week with my lady.
Now I'm not going to watch the second season on television, cause like I said I dont watch television, commercial breaks being the first reason.
So my question is, when is the second season expected to come out on DVD, next spring, or fall of next year? Not quite sure how long a season lasts, is it a year or a semester?
Saw this thread resurrected and wondered why some of the pages were loading so slow - then I noticed that I changed the links to those photos from a while back. Sorry, they are fixed now. They can be viewed by clicking here.
"The Others" kinda looked like zombies. Or maybe its a side effect of watching a gazillion of them on here all day and then watching the show. :undecided
I wasn't able to watch the show when it was airing during Season 1. Over the past few weeks I caught up, and I fell in love with the show.
Last night I watched the season premiere, as well as last nights episode. They've completely killed everything that I loved about the show... I'll keep watching, but I've pretty much lost all interest.
I'm not down with the conspiracy/ playing a game/ experiment/ "whatever it is" angle that they've gone with. The cool thing was that it was a static set, with a relatively static cast of characters, and something that couldn't be accounted for in the jungle... but possibly supernatural/ magic/ WHATEVER.
THAT'S WHAT WAS SO COOL! You never get to see that kind of thing in prime time, other than on Sci-Fi, but with nowhere near the execution. It's just like Alias, first season I was hooked, then they completely dropped the ball.
I wonder if anyone noticed that the shark in last night's episode had a stamp or a brand on it which was the same "dharma" symbol on everything in the bunker.
Well, as aggravated as I am at the pace of things revealed, I remain a hold out from jumping ship. I cant stop watching. I love the show, I admit it! I'm not obsessed, but I cant stop watching it. I want whatever crumb they will toss out to me each week. :cheesy:
I don't get the whole JJ Abrams thing. I don't think Alias was brilliant at all. Let me restate that, I think Jennifer Garner is a horrible actress and makes Alias completely unbelievable (if it can be believed at all). She is the most inept spy! Anytime anything goes wrong she looks like she's going to cry and just has no idea what to do. Those she works with (other spies) are a hell of a lot better than she is at the job.
Anyway, I really liked the premiere episode and the early episodes of Season 1 to Lost, but find over the long haul I don't really care. The girl is hot, but so what. I can watch Carisma Carpenter on Veronica Mars. I feel like with most of JJ's stuff you can see the "surprises" coming a mile away. Some of the back stories are cool, but after awhile the going back and forth can be annoying...especially when 3/4 of the episode is backstory and nothing really happens in the present to move the main plots forward.
I do have to say I find it very comical that last season they had like 10 extras (when there are supposed to be like 42 survivors) and now they have like 30! Its ridiculous!
Some good acting overall, some fun characters, and babes in bikinis are always a plus. Really, a guilty pleasure and not much more.
Well, I'll be just a'talkin to myself in this thread on another week, then.
So THAT was Rose's husband. But he should be dead. But then, maybe they are. Lastnight's episode kinda reminded me of Lord of the Flies a bit with the two camps so vastly different.
Did the other camp eat some of their survivors, or did they die off (again)? Dont know, but I will keep watching.
