***System Frequencies***

A little confused..any sources out there I can read up on?

I believe the default setting is shooting over 60i (59.94i).

90% of the time I shoot 1080/24p. Most of my content is for the Internet.

Why would I ever want to shoot 1080/24p (23.98) over 29.97p or 23.98p?

What exactly is the purpose of changing your frequency?

Thank you.

24p is the "True Film" frame rate. 23.976p is the NTSC version of that frame rate, 29.97p is NTSC Television frame rate.

If the end product is going to end up in a theatre, you may want to shoot in 24p. Also, you may want to refer to it as frame rate, not frequency.

Thank you for the reply, but I am not talking about the frame rate. I am talking about the "system frequency" you are able to set professional cameras to. There is the "format" section where I choose my resolution and frame rate (i.e. 1920x1080 at 24fps or 1280x720 at 60fps) and then there is the "system frequency" in another menu where I can choose 59.94i, 23.98p or 29.97p.
