Syncro scan value in scene files??

hi, Im not such a post man, but now i have a question about the syncro subject..
When you edit a scene file most of the fields are clear for me in their numbers values, but the syncro one is an alphanumeric value and i have no idea how it works and how i can manage from the text editor.

thanks

Juan

The only alpha is D it stands for degrees. It's analagous to a motion picture camera shutter. 180d=1/48th at 24p, 90d=1/96th at 24p, 180d=1/60th at 30p get it?

No, I think he's referring to the values that appear in the SCENE1.TXT etc. file for the Synchro Scan setting. For example:
SCENE NAME :CINE D
00005000: 8 ; DETAIL LEVEL: 0
00005001: 8 ; V DETAIL LEVEL: 0
00005002: 8 ; DETAIL CORING : 0
00005003: 8 ; CHROMA LEVEL: 0
00005004: 8 ; CHROMA PHASE: 0
00005005: 8 ; COLOR TEMP: 0
00005006: 15 ; MASTER PED: -1
00005007: 5 ; A.IRIS LEVEL: -3
00005008: 1 ; NEWS GAMMA: OFF
00005009: 5 ; GAMMA : CINELIKE D
0000500A: 0 ; KNEE: AUTO
0000500B: 3 ; MATRIX: CINE-LIKE
0000500C: 1 ; SKIN TONE DTL : OFF
0000500D: 0 ; V DETAIL FREQ : THIN
0000500E: 1 ; OPERATION TYPE: FILM CAM
0000500F: 14 ; FRAME RATE: 24 FRAME
00005010: BE026801 ; SYNCRO SCAN :

He's trying to figure out how to decode the BE026801 above.

you are right thoff.
Im trying to understand how to manange the
00005010: BE026801 ; SYNCRO SCAN :

and edit the syncro in the scenes files.

I haven't looked into it, but I suspect you'll have to reverse-engineer it by making changes to the synchro scan value in the camera, and observing what it does to the scene file -- hopefully you'll notice a pattern.

I see many button presses ahead of you...

yes, thats what I was trying to avoid...
what i did notice is that the three first digits are the same, but I get this throw a very few cases, and that's not very cientific method.
isn't anybody decode this?
