Syncing timecode in multi-camera shoot

We've been doing two-camera shoots with two HVX200's at basketball games. One P2 on either side of the baseline under the basket, capturing the game from the two different angles. We're overcranking both cameras to 60fps--and loving the look of the footage--but the problem is that we can't sync the timecode of the two cameras. I wanted to shoot free run tc but apparently you can't do that when overcranking, and can only shoot record run. So, we decided to sync the time of day between the two cameras, assuming that we could access that info from the metadata when we imported into Final Cut. But after importing into FCP 5 (latest vers), we couldn't find the time of day info anywhere. My editor spent two days syncing the game footage from the two cameras. Thank god for camera flashes.

Anyone know how we could sync the timecode between the two cameras. We want to continue shooting slowmo (overcrank) and it's terrible not being able to do this with free run timecode.

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

The important thing is to use a non-native recording mode during the sync so that the camera outputs to the DV port, and to make sure you use a recording mode available on both cameras, i.e. if you try to sync an HVX with a DV camera, set the HVX to DV before attempting to sync.
