syncing EX1r with Canon XH A1

does anyone know if this is possible and how to go about accomplishing it?

Something has to send out the GenLock signal to sync. The XH-G1 or the EX3 have a genlock signal, but not the A1 or EX1(r).

AFAIK there is nothing to synch to using only those two cameras.
