"Synchronizating" question in editing

I'm new to video editing and working hard to learn.
I have a "synchronizating" question in video editing, if the term is wrong, please correct me.

In my typical conference video recording, there were two DVX camcorders, one recording the presenters and the other capturing the audience's reaction.
My assignment is to work out one final edited video file merging two video footage from two cameras and using the presenter's audio track as the only audio background. It's pretty common in TV news, MTV...etc but I have no idea how to sychronize the presenter's lip action with the audio track after inserting audience's reaction in between.

For example, the first 15 seconds video is presenter's speech, next 10 seconds is audience and then back to the presenter.
What editing software can solve my problem ?
I'm using Magix Movie Edit Pro 12.

Many thanks.

I'm pretty new to video editing myself but I've found it pretty easy to learn.

I guess what it may come down to is learning the software. I'm not familiar with Magix Movie Edit Pro 12, I've only learnt Adobe Premiere and Apple Final Cut Pro.

I know that in those NLEs (Non-Linear Editors) software it's really easy to cut the audio with your video. You just need to lay down the appropriate audio on the audio track alongside the video you want on the audio track

and then..

then you can adjust the duration or speed of either the video/audio to match up.

Perhaps someone with more experience could better answer your question.

I don't know that software but in PPro of FCP you would bring in the footage form the Presenters and edit that the way you like it, video and audio and then drop just the video (no audio) from the audience on top of the Presenters video where you want it overlaid. That way your video and audio of the Presenters is always locked together never losing sync.

Hope this helps.
