Synch Issues Again.

Hey, who out there edits 24p footage on a 30i timeline and plays back their timeline back to a miniDV camera for tape output (on Avid)?

I'm still having this issue where I capture 24p footage, edit on a 30i timeline, and blue ball it back to a miniDV camera and after some time it will fall out of synch. What the hell.

It's weird because I've outputted to tape before and it came out in synch, but the projects were slightly different.

For example, one project was a student film, shot on 16mm transfered to tape, digitized for a 30i timeline, edited, and bam, comes out in synch when outputted tape. This was edited on another Avid system.

Another example is I digitzed to my Avid system old films that weren't shot on 24p onto a 30i timeline, made my 30 minute sequence of those films, outputted and it comes out in synch.

With these two examples, the films were edited on different Avid systems (except for the 30 minute sequence built on my system). So there seems to be something I'm doing wrong/missing about editing 24p on a 30i timeline and outputting back to tape.

Drop frame? Non-drop frame? Sampling rates? Any suggestions?

My system specs:

Avid 4.5.1
P4, 3.2 processor
2 gigs ram
