sync 3 hvx 200 via firewire

hi guys,

i got three hvx 200 and i want to sync their timecodes via firewire.

all cameras a set to free run. i connected 2 cams via firewire, but the tc from cam 1 wan`t be taken over by cam 2.

how do i tell cam 2 to read the timecode preset of cam 1?

Read this. it will answer all your questions. Althouh it may not be totally clear that you CANT do this is in any of the PN modes.

You can always switch to PN after sync'ing the cameras in a non-native mode.

It has been amply discussed elsewhere that timecode syncing via firewire simply does not work properly on the HVX200 -- the different cameras will have timecode within a second or two of each other, but that is as close as it gets.

That said, there is an alternate approach that actually works -- use a single remote to simultaneously set the timecode preset on as many HVXs as you want.
