SxS Express Reader vs. Sony SxS USB Reader ??

This question is directed towards those who use the Sony EX3 and a Windows7 PC for production.

Is it better to use an Express reader, built into a Windows7 PC, to transfer Sony EX3 video into the PC, than the external Sony USB SxS Reader ?

According to the guy building my PC, who is researching it, he says:

"Using the SxS card in the express reader (as opposed to the USB reader) is apparently MUCH faster (claims are 10 times faster than USB)."

I'm trying to find out what you guys, that already own Sony EX3s, and are using Windows PCs, are doing to transfer your video from the SxS Cards. If anyone has any knowledge or experience with BOTH these devises (Express Reader & Sony USB Reader) I'd greatly appreciate learning your opinions.

And, are there any risks, dangers, or problems using either method?

If it is true that the built-in Express Reader is better, what brand, etc, do you recommend?

Thanks.

Yes - the PCIe interface is much faster than USB (though only original SxS can take advantage of it).

Ask your system builder whether the EC reader will be hot-swappable, though.
