GH2 Switronix Powerbase 70 and GH2?

In theory, it seems like you could use the Jag35 battery with a step-down cable to power the Gh2 if you have a DCC8. Unless there's some reason why it wouldn't work?

Thats actually the idea I would use If I had a GH2 on a rig.
Dolgin Engineering also has a power system costum made for the GH2 that uses camcorder batteries for power, like Panasonic,Sony batteries.

As far as I know, the DCC8 coupler is not physically compatible with GH1. As far as electrical requirements, our DC regulation circuit works with GH2 using the DCC8 coupler as a means to connect. It allows to use any 12-18V power source (D-Tap, Cig, etc.) or any 7.2V DV battery. There are 2 separate things - the 12-18V one (Anton Bauer, IDX, etc.) reduces the voltage down to what the camera wants to see. The other one boosts the DV battery voltage to what GH2 wants to see. We already shipped a good number of them, proven to work.

That system looks pretty cool, adolgin. How solid is the connection between the panasonic battery and the plate? Would it drop off if I hang it vertically off the back of a shoulder mount system?
Also, does the plate work the batteries that the Panasonic HMC-150 uses? I think they're the same as the AF-100 batteries, but different from the HVX200 batteries.

Jesse, you will need to position the plate so the battery slides down in the vertical plate for a reliable connection. The HMC-150 and AF100 use the same battery.

Okay, so I'm not super sharp about 15mm rail systems, but I'm looking to put one together for my GH2. How would you suggest I mount the system to 15mm rods? I'd like it to be either upside down underneat the rods but behind the tripod plate, or vertically on the back (assuming I can rest it on my chest without popping the battery off).
