I have acquired a DVX100A that has slightly over 100 hours of use. I know it has used at least four brands of tape. (Though Sony DVM60 ME was the primary brand.) It currently is not experiencing any dropout problems.
If I give the machine a thorough head cleaning (as described by Barry S. in this forum), will it be possible for me to switch to Panasonic MQ tape moving forward? Will switching to Panasonic tapes cause endless headaches and problems?
