Switching to HVX from HMC150

Hi, DVXuser! I have an opportunity to trade my hmc for an HVX. Now, I have had my HMC for about 1 and a half months or longer. I love it but it lacks a few things the HVX has that I would like, but not EXACTLY need. Like interval recording which is the main thing. Plus, (correct me if I am wrong PLEASE) I feel like the quality on the HVX quality is a bit better because it isn't as compressed as AVCHD. The only thing that mainly concerns me is the fact that p2 takes up a lot of space and is pretty expensive. I know this wasn't that detailed and I didn't exactly list that many reasons as to why I would get rid of my HMC. But I'd like your opinions on this. Thank you.

Also, feel free to give other reasons on why I should keep my HMC or make the switch. Thanks.

Are you looking at trading for an HVX200, or an HVX200A? If it's a 200A, the imaging will be comparable. But if it's an original HVX200, you'd be taking a step down in image quality. The HMC150 is a three-year-newer camera than the original HVX200, and it has brighter more-sensitive chips with much less noise than the HVX200. The HVX200A has the same chips as the HMC150 and I might consider a trade between those two, but I don't know if I would trade an HMC150 down to an original HVX200 unless you really need variable frame rates or firewire streaming or interval recording.
