None of the aforementioned cameras has stills capability. But if you're asking about the ability to do interval recording, where it takes one single frame at a specified interval, yes the 170 and 200A do offer that. You can specify that it take one frame every other frame, or every second, or every minute, or five minutes, or 10 minutes, etc.

I eventually want to do stop-motion animation, but the feature for stills isn't necessary. From my research apparently external software is used to record a still directly from the camera. Still doing research...
