Switch on bottom of Battery.

I have searched the boards here and panasonic's website and cannot find any mention on what the little switch on the bottom of the battery does... if anything at all.

Just wondering if any of you guys knew.

..dont tell me you swithced it already! you can kiss your battery goodby if you filpp that electorlyte relase switch.. you may want to dispose of it too before it leaks toxin gas, and possible exploeds.. thats for an overheated battery only!!!
.. well actually none of the above is true.. its just a switch that you manually use to let yourslef know if the battery os charged or not. red is dead.
