Switch from Canon 5D2 to Sony A6300 - thoughts?

Hey all

So I've been a Canon shooter for many years. I've had my 5D2 since the day it was released and at one point owned all the L lenses. I've taken some excellent stills and video with it and love the look of the FF sensor. But now I'm a little older, I feel it's time for a change. I don't shoot professionally full-time anymore so I'm looking for something with newer tech, faster AF, more compact for travel as l rarely want to lug my 5D2 and L glass around but also maintain stills and video quality for the occasional paid video or portrait shoot that I do from time to time. Note for more pro video work I usually rent both camera body and lenses.

Right now I'm basically shooting all my stills with my 5D2 and 24-70 f2.8 L lens. So I'm looking at getting the a6300 with kit 16-55mm lens for knocking around with and either getting the metabones 4 and keep the 24-70 or sell the 24-70 and get a couple of Sony/Zeiss primes.

Any advice from anyone who's used both these cameras and whether this is a good move?

Cheers!

Keep the 24-70. Buy the metabones. Buy the kit lens. Then see where you want to go. The a6300 is a great camera, but you know about the shortcomings, right?
