Swit V mount

I'm just wondering if you guys are using Swit v mounts with your AF rigs, and which one you recommend between the 88, 126, and 190. I'm in China and am looking around to see if I can find any deals around Beijing or Shanghai. I just got the Tilta vmount plate when I visited the factory, and want to get a few v mount batteries and a charge while I am out here.

Thanks!

if u r in china, why dont u get Lanparte one? definitely cheaper, and will work as counter weight for your tilta
here is the image of it , its 130 wh

btw any issues with your tilta? few guys told there was an issue with handles ..... any play?

can u post a pic of your tilta vmount? how much was it? i just ordered titla but i was not offered to buy v mount, would like to know more

Regards

The tilta plate seems to be a better design. The head engineer at Tilta used to work for Lanparte, and they are still working off of his 1st and 2nd gen designs. yeah, I got the plate and am now looking for batteries for it to act as counter balance to the rig. I haven't had any problems with the handles yet, but I've only shot one full day with it. Worked great, even though I still need to tweak the configuration, as the rig was made for your typical chinese person, who is a bit smaller than I am. The consensus that I found was that SWIT batteries are the best chinese batteries, and I am going to try to find some for cheap while I am here instead of paying the import tax and shipping that you would in the states.

I will post a picture of the full rig, and the tilta v mount as soon as I get a chance. I paid 700 rmb for it which is around $111 usd.

I only use one of the handles and its tight with no play. Very solid. I even used the baseplate on a F3 yesterday with no issues. Its a good product.

does that battery plate have some kind of rods attachment? or rig attachment? or u need to buy some separate parts?

also as far as i know tilta does not design any electronics at all, they just make it looks close to tilta design, but splitter it self is done by other company .... i think its same for lanparte, but of course i can be mistaken.

btw when i told u about the lanparte i ment battery only (its 1kg 130 wh), its just happens the image showed both (splitter with battery)... hope u did not misunderstand me.

will be waiting on the images of that splitter...... kind of makes me wonder, especially after i already payed for the tilta rig

i ve been told by Huang that F3 tilta rig is going to be for sale next month... new base plate looks more solid......... have u seen it at tiltas? seems like it has a new camcorder attachment!

Last thing - some one told that its possible to use 1 of the manfrotte quick relies plates as a camcorder attachment in current tilta rig instead of its own camcorder attachment plate (it does not look promising), have anyone else tried it? just wonder what model exactly will fit there?

Monfroto QR plate works perfect.

cool, but which one? manfrotto has many plates..... all of them have numbers like 577 - the one i have ....., but i dont think it will fit, so i d like to as which 1 will ?, so i could order it while my tilta is in process of shipping...

oh its maybe an idea, i did not realize i can buy it separately! thks for the tip! i really like these QR plates and never remove it from my cam..... very useful , plus when i put cam on table or else this way i will not get extra scratches on cam body, and in case of resell it will looks more pleasant, the own tilta plate kind of small i think for that purpose.....

my v mount plate for tilta already here.... so just wait for the rig to be shipped

btw about the batteries i cant find one the exact clip i saw, but in 1 of the NAB 2012 clips i saw 1 battery brand (v mount or golden mount ) with some kind of small screen, i am not sure what was the brand bauer maybe..... but they told that now u can see the remaining time on camera monitor - that is useful, -

Also seems like Orlando McNulty got a really great deal at Tiltas factory as 111usd for their power splitter (as i understood its also 2in1 power and hdmi splitter), i asked Huang today about it and ve been offered to get it for 280usd (and its without shipping and tax ill pay here). Now i wonder how much he payed for the rig...... if there was a same kind of saving, then its maybe good idea, to travel there to buy it, as the road expanses probably will cover the difference in price, and u get a chance to travel.... what i love!

Ps
i, of course, did not tell Huang that some one bought it cheaper, just told that will not buy it for now, but if say true it looks kind of sexy...still thinking to buy it later

I tried to talk Huang down even, but she said that she would only sell it to me for the price that they sell it on Taobao for. http://s.taobao.com/search?q=Tilta&...ceId=tb.index&initiative_id=tbindexz_20120426
make sure you can translate it to english. It's listed right there at 800 rmb, which is $126, so I guess I got a minor discount.
You can buy the whole rig off of Taobao, and pay the dhl shipping, and import tax, I think it would add something like $300 to the over all price. I will post pictures when I get back to the states, as it's really hard to upload them from within the great firewall. Also it seems like there is some syntactical filter that changes what people write, so I hope that I am understanding everyone correctly!
I stopped by the factory because I was in the area shooting and wanted to check it out. I don't know that it would be worth the price of airfare unless you were in China already.

well 126$ is a significant discount from what i was offered - 280$, its more then 50%

the only thing is that now i see there are 2 units as i see on a website, and i did not know it
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=14168115792
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=14882012426

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=13540754553

i ve been offered the more expansive 1 with (i am not sure what is the right name for connectors) pro connectors - and seems like u got a cheaper version, then i take my words back, there were no discounts at all. its just 2 different units.

Did u find the battery for your self?

Hmm. I just ordered my rig. Looks like I should have picked up a V-Mount plate too. I just couldn't get a clear answer out of Huang about the pricing and what it looked like. Any thoughts on what V-Mounts to pair with it? I can't afford to pay $500+ per battery.

Farseeing make the same batteries that LanParte use with their kits: google "Farseeing V-Mount".
I deal regularly with the guys over there and I've had nothing but good experiences with them.

They go from 90Wh ($212) up to 230Wh ($386) and have a choice of just a basic one with a 5-level LED display or, for $20 more, you can pick up one with an LCD display which shows the current estimated time remaining.
Shipping will run you about $24 per battery (they are from 800grams up to 1.4kg) although obviously gets cheaper as you add more.

They also have a multi-recharger and a Gold-Mount to V-Mount adapter if you ever need them.

LanParte rebrand their 130Wh batteries and include them with their Complete Professional Kit.
