This seems pretty similar to the Lilliput monitor that goes for around $200-$225 USD.

Must say I don't see how you can say that. Just checked on the Lilliput models and none of them offer at least the hardware options this Swit model does for input and power.

The interesting thing to see would be a hands-on test, with a proper camera, and see how both can resolve similar images or test charts.

My guess is many people on this forum would be eager to see a comparative test on monitors you can use with a DSLR camera. Certainly I am.

I also love my Marshall 70XP. Light, sturdy and great features! Had a Swit monitor on a shoot and it was heavy, lacking in features and not even a good picture. Go with the Marshall and some cheapo ebay batteries.

yeah the swits are ok, I have one, and it works. But my next buy is without a doubt a Marshall, they've got a few extra nice features, eg. False Color which is great with judging exposure, the screen is lighter, the list goes on..

The only problem I have with these HDMI monitors is (1) that some of them have colors that aren't true to our pro HD-SDI monitors, and (2) that none of them that I've found has a proper waveform monitor. This "false color" concept is interesting, but you can't beat a waveform... in the hands of a pro, it'll never let you down...

Waveform is great but false colors works great to nail exposure. Before I got to try it I was sceptical but after a couple of times it works very well.

Agreed. And add to that peaking and I have actually a better than a snowball in hell's chance of keeping focus.:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
