So after weeks of testing, testing, redesigning, testing, cracking, breaking... I think I'm settled on a design for the D-Tap SWIT+FS7 adapter. It sticks out 2mm further from the battery than an older design that I *thought* was final... until I tested it on more d-tap cables and found that a chubbier d-tap plug wouldn't fit! So I had to tweak the design a bit to bring it out a hair further, and then I re-inforced a few areas to make it stronger. I spent a lot of time testing various ways to print it in order to get the strongest print. And I think it's pretty rock solid.

It fits in really snug, has a very satisfying "click" with it's in place. Keeps a low profile so you aren't snagging cables.
I may also sell a BYOP (bring your own pins) version, that is just the 3D printed parts, ready for pins that you can harvest from your own d-tap parts.
And, I may put an option in checkout to request colors. Right now I have orange, semi-translucent blue, grey, black, and clear. I'm also thinking about doing some bundle prices if you want to get two (like $40 for one, $60 for two) during this preorder time.
And here is the graveyard of prototypes:
I'll look at creating a Thingiverse account here shortly and will upload the STL file for the DIY gang to play with. I'll also upload GCode files that have supports built into it, too.
