I'm working on a short film, and have hired some great production sound mixers. But it turns out I'll be doing all the post work. Just curious if there's some kind of general treatment that all movie dialogue gets in post that helps it sound even better.
But just to comment: "it turns out I'll be doing all the post work" - Did someone quit? Have you looked for replacements? Have you searched online?
Ideally you have a budget for audio post, but even when you don't finding a student or someone building a reel can still get you better results than you would get just trying to figure it out yourself.
