Swedish pilot scene

For you English viewers this is a pilot scene. The plot is we have two brothers than have never met. They are about to go on a journey to bury their dead mother.
I used a Lumix 45/2.8 lens for the interiors and 12/1.6, 24/0.95 for some of the exterior shots.

Looks fantastic! Good job with your "crippled" AF100. LOL. Who says the Af100 can't do narrative? You made it shine, just as it does.

Never heard of the term "pilot scene"- is this used to get a short film or show picked up / financed? I like the subtle camera movement, I did a couple commercials a few months ago and tried to keep the camera free form- but it wound up looking like a earthquake.

A bit unusual I now to just shoot a scene as a pilot and hopefully it will become a miniseries but as always I have low expectations on this to happen. Finance, it's not easy.

Looked great editman!

I also laughed when I saw the chevy emblem. We americans have a love hate for american cars.

Nice visual tone and look to the piece editman.

Wondered if the black levels should have been dropped a little more on the scenes of the non bearded character to match the other angle.

Nice job. I would suggest looking at the vignette out the drivers side. It looks too deliberate and artificial. If you are on the mac, check out tonalizer. http://irudis.com/

I use it on everything. Really rescues those highlights.

Nice quote on the Irudis page, Bob.

Do you find it actually rescues more highlights than grading with color correction tools, or it's just quicker and easier?

FCP only?
