SW mode and AUTO SW????

ME AGAIN (having a real day getting to know my camera!) Few questions (sorry)....

1. Does anyone know what SW stands for (as in SW Mode and Auto SW)?

2. I think 'Auto SW' is a preset you can programme for Iris/ATW etc? Is that right?

3. What is 'SW mode'? Do I need to knowa about this?

4. In the 'SW mode' menu there are user prefs; User1/2/3. As I am the only one using the camera, do I need to bother with this?

Thank you guys, I hope I'll be off help to people on this forum some day soon! We all start from somewhere right? (shies into corner.....gulp) :-[

SW is an abbreviation for "Switch."
