FS7: Surprise: Rokinon 12mm cine is amazing

Over the years I probably used every available UWA. I'm not crazy about the look but in cinema Verite situations I need one. I allready owned the Zeiss touit 12mm but wanted something I can pull focus and iris on so I got the rokinon not expecting much. This little lens blows most UWA's away it's super sharp even at f2 on center very flare resistant and has less distortion than any lens of this type I ever used. Costs less that 350usd I would have paid 4x.

The throw on the iris ring is also nice and long unlike the 14mm which is useless and has horrendous distortions.

How do you find the distortion at the edge of the frame? Thanks for taking the time to share you thoughts..

It's better than it looks here (the talent I was shooting was like 1.5m) the camera is tilted down straight on it's really good.

I assume you have it in EF (Canon) mount. B&H doesn't seem to have it in Nikon mount.

The Rokinon 14mm Cine DS full frame is actually rated very highly. The 12 is for DSLR only.
