Surfing with the EX1 (Munich)

I shot this with the EX1 in Munich for a slow motion test sometime ago.

Nice! But did you make your whites bloom out like that on purpose? For effect?

Yes, I tuned the camera so that the white water will be a little over exposed and then I grade it in color to bring out the blacks

I live where the sport was invented and I haven't even shot any surfing yet!

Pretty cool. I would expose to retain the whites, then bring the blacks up in post. I'm using Color which provides a great deal of tonal control.

That spot should be pretty popular. I'm surprised there aren't more people hanging around. Or maybe they were just off camera?

Yes I shot it in 60fps , can't remember the shutter speed though.

It very pack usually, But I managed to shot it in the evening time, where it's almost getting dark and the tourist are back in the hotel having dinner
