Surf Movie

Hi Guys,

I finished my surf movie "Hecho en Mexico" that was filmed in Mexico in January. There is an opening segment to the film that is all DVX, a travel segment that is all DVX, and a quick lifestyle segment shot on DVX. All of the rest but a few surfing shots are on 16mm.

Now that was REALLY nice to watch. Great shots and great music. You're a pro. I also like your website. Good luck with your film. Looks like you've got a winner.
 
Very nice trailer and I'm sure the film will be a blast to watch too. You did a good job with it for sure. It made me want to go to the ocean and surf, so that's great! Good luck and I know the hard work will pay off, specially when you're good at what you do.
 
yep i saw them boobies too. But hey try a DVX man. Tapes cost 3.50 for 6o mins, whatd you spend on film stock? really has a jock johnson/malloy film feel with the landscape/local culture stuff. looking forward to seeing the whole thing.

Being a surfer...i'm gonna order it, gotta support the smaller surfing/filmmaking community. Where did the team go and what is squalo. a shop or shaper?

This looks great; nice job on the trailer. Where in Mex were you? This looks especially nice when your levels are down.

Just bring the kid to play in the wave, they learn pretty fast...have fun.

I live in San Diego too, Oceanside actually. I get to go surfing every morning, I'm taking a Surf PE class at my high school, it's awesome.

I wish I could film surfing again, but the DVX lens is pretty limiting until I get a telephoto adapter.
