Support for Kessler Sliders?

I have a 3' Cineslider, & just ordered the 2' Bloom PocketDolly.

The Cineslider is usually mounted on a fluid head, & supported at both ends by monopods. While solid, it's a bit of a monster to move, especially indoors.

What I'm wondering is if an AF100, mounted on the 2' slider, can really be supported by a fluid head alone?

I'm currently using Manfrotto's 504HD fluid head, & am considering the 509HD. I'd consider an O'Conner, or Satchler head, but prefer not to change brands as I've built a support system around Manfrotto's quick releases, & have five of their heads. In particular the 503HDV, & 701HDV, are useful as they don't have a built-in ball, so can be mounted flat to sliders, & such.

Thanks,
Bern

I hired a 3' Bloom PocketDolly for a day or two in London, had a crappy head on it and my HMC151 - which weighs about the same as an AF100, depending on your lens package. I mounted the dolly to my Miller DS10 head on (aluminium) Solo legs, and it was fine. The Solo legs aren't as rigid as I'd expected, but spread to their mid setting the package was pretty solid. I wouldn't expect issues with a modestly heavier head and camera, particularly with the 2' dolly.

Incidentally, I use Manfrotto receiver plates on all my supports, including Libec and the Miller gear. I'm standardised on Manfrotto quick release plates, but not tied to the brand. Works well.
