Superwhite Highlights - Best Practices?

I noticing that there is just no detail when you get above 100 IRE with the FS100, it just blows out. Maybe the blown out area gets brighter all the way up to 110 but it seems like there isn't any detail to recover in post once you get past 100. Now I'm wondering is this just something that we all have to live with, or is there something in the picture profile that can help mitigate this problem? It makes the dynamic range of this camcorder a bit less stellar than it could be.

Thoughts, tweaks, best practices?

Hmm.... with Final Cut Pro, I can recover information between 100IRE and 110IRE with a simple color correction and get a nice amount of detail out of it... also, you can bring back black values "below zero" with FCP with no problems, while in After Effects for example, you have to switch your project settings to "32bit floating point" before being able to recover all the picture information. Which post workflow do you use?
