Supered date & time on DVX100

Hello,

I am doing a project that needs the date & time to be supered on tape.

I can get the date & time up on the monitor, and I'm aware its recorded on the time code track, but I want it burned on tape.

Is there a way to do this with the DVX100b?

i wonder? You can always do it in post with no problems. Which you should do because lets face it, what if you dont end up wanting the time code on the tape?

No you can't do this with a DVX directly. If you need to do it with a DVX, the only way I can think if is to send the output of the DVX to a second camera or deck, recording on that second camera.

I know it sounds crazy, but the client is a legal firm and wants a burned-in time stamp on the master.

Nothing crazy about it, it's a common request and it's one reason the new cameras (HPX170, HMC150, HMC40) all have that feature. People in the legal field need it.
