SuperBowl - What is this?

It's the Iluminarti/Freemasons/KGB/CIA/Trump/Clinton trying to brainwash the audience..... :-)
Or a far eastern betting syndicate trying to fix plays to make millions in betting.

Sadly the Sure radio mic antenna is going to be the answer but the two ideas above are enough for a feature film franchise.

"Far eastern betting syndicate": Ok that makes sense. Thanks. My buddy thought it was the Illuminati, but I thought it had something to do with the Russians.

"Shure Radio Mic".... You guys crack me up. Radio mic.....

At an ad cost of $5 million per minute, it better be brainwashing.

Variety notes: the 48.8 rating and 72 share is slightly down from last year’s game between the Broncos and Panthers, which drew a 49 rating and a 73 share in the overnight ratings, translating to around 111.9 million viewers.

That's $.04/view. I wonder how that compares to other rates?

Was anyone else disappointed in most of the commercials?

Only tech nerds can somehow have a thread related to the Super Bowl, and not comment on the most devastating loss a team had endured in its history, lol.

I don't know what's really to say... I'm not a Brady fan. I'm not a Patriots fan. And I'm definitely NOT a Belichick fan(especially after he almost completely F'd me over on a shoot last season. I almost packed my gear and left before he came in). BUT you gotta give the Devil his due. Greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

It was basically the Hindenburg of games for Atlanta. The Falcons were in control and right there... It was basically like driving 500 miles home and as you're making the turn into your driveway you get T-boned by an 18-wheeler doing 95mph.

Oh the humanity!!!

haha...Belichick must be an interesting character to have in a production

I have a producer who deals with them all the time. The Patriots are their beat, so to speak and I've heard the stories. It's like trying to work in the Pentagon or White House, but harder.

At the beginning of the '15-'16 season a producer called me out of the blue looking for a crew to shoot an interview with Belichick. The Pats were going to be in-town for a game and they finally granted this guy like 20 mins with Belichick for a doc he'd been working on. I told him I was already booked that day for the game, but I'd try to help him find someone. A few names I threw out he had already tried and some others I called for him were unavailable. He said it was one 10-20 min sit-down the morning of the game(night game). I said I could do that as long as that was it and he understood I had a drop-dead time to be out. He agreed.

Me and my audio guy show up to the hotel that morning, load into the conference room and set-up. We were done setting very quickly and the Pats PR guy happened to walk by and ask if we could go early(like an hour earlier than planned). We said we could go NOW. So it was looking like we were gonna get done way early and have time for a nice lunch before we had to pick my other producer up and be at the stadium for our "real" shoot. The "new" time comes and goes, no Belichick. PR guy says it's gonna be the original time, again. As it gets closer he then comes by and says it's gonna be later than his original time, now. It keeps getting later and later and I'm telling the producer for this shoot I may have to leave. He's sweating bullets, because he's been trying to land this interview for FIVE YEARS! (WHAT?!) and he flew half way across the country to do it on a road game for the Pats. The producer starts trying to think of anyway he can to make this work, asking if we can leave it set up and he will pay for the room for the full day and we can come back after the game and get it, anything to get it shot. I've already called my "real" producer to let her know what was going on and fortunately I've worked with her for YEARS and she was cool because she knew we could come in hot and still pull it off.

Finally he shows up when I wanted to be packed up and loading out. He sits down in the chair, SLOUCHES down and totally screws the shot. It was obvious he didn't want to be there and didn't want to talk about the subject, some of the stories that the producer had heard and was hoping to get sound on were untrue and the answers he did get were short. He may have gotten ONE useable bite. Nine minutes later he is out of the chair and we are packing like mad men. Fastest pack 'n load I've ever been a part of. Somehow we were only 15 minutes late picking up my real producer and even more astonishingly, we made it to the stadium on-time.

I was also astonished, and would have lost the bet with my audio guy IF we had actually bet, that he had on a real button up shirt and not a sweatshirt. Lol

haha, nice.

It was obvious he didn't want to be there and didn't want to talk about the subject...

That is vintage Belichick though...he always gives short answers to everyone (the media) and always appears grumpy.
