Super Slo MO and histogram

Is it normal that the histogram is inaccesible in Super Slo Mo setting on an FS700?

If SO... what does one do for exposure setting? Zebras?

Thanx guys

I have zebras set at 95 usually.

I found that connecting HDMI Monitor with its exposure tools is helpful when shooting slo mo because I cant get signal thru SDI to mu waveform monitor.

what is your output set to? 50i? 25p? 50p? should be no problem connecting a SDI monitor, depending on what your monitor accepts as input of course... big plus for SDI over HDMI is that the SDI has almost no delay, whereas the HDMI lags about 3 frames.

What SDI device are you using? Both my Alphatron EVF and Odyssey7Q experience a 3 frame delay.

i'm using the 7Q as well, didn't notice any delay yet (but didn't pay attention that much). maybe my lilliput monitor which i had before had even more delay, or i just paid more attention?

I have no delay on SDI with 7Q and Alphatron and about 3 frames on HDMI Marshall

Are you guys saying that you get an SDI out put in SLM mode while shooting?.

I only am getting it in playback once its recorded to the card.

Video Out setting is 25p - Monitor is a Panasonic BTLH1700 WE

I always was able to monitor the signal while shooting ssm with my lilliput, but had to set the output of the camera to 50i (the lilliput doesn't accept 25p i think...)

We made it work in all our monitors by setting the Video Output to 1080i. Now works in Normal and the S&Q modes

The Panasonic broadcast monitor, the Ikan 7Xe on board and the Samurai ( all simultaneously)

It gets interesting around the Samurai and the triggering of it in all modes...but we can cope with that.

But ...Bonus....What we now have is the Samurai Recording SLO MO. It records off the buffer ( not as the camera shoot the scene). Thats cool!

BTW - we now have heaps of exposure monitoring "tools" due to this. Still weird Histogram is not one of them in S&Q though.! WTF.

Not only Sony thinks that!

The art of cinematography is now the art of "fix it in post". RAW (Slog etc...).

Any one can shoot film.

Its anathema to me.
