need hosting for your footage/stills etc? I work for an ISP (internet service provider) and run my own dedicated server that i like to refer to as "dvxhost". Many user's here utiilized the free service when it was in its beta stage.

Here are the plans:

plan1:
- $2.00/month
- 250MB of storage (no stream restrictions)
- PHP support
- 1 24/7 FTP account
- Free dvxhost subdomain
-8GB of transfer/month

plan2:
-$3.50/month
-350MB of storage (250MB of streaming files allowed)
-PHP support
-(2) 24/7 FTP accounts
-Free dvxhost subdomain
-8GB of transfer/month (add .50/month for 2 more gigs)

plan3:
-$5/month
-550MB of storage (400MB of streaming files allowed)
-PHP support
-1 MYSQL database (allows you to run a forum or picture gallery/etc!)
-(4) 24/7 FTP accounts
-Free dvxhost subdomain
-10GB transfer/month *atleast (our server samples the bandwidth available to it and calculates wheather or not it can allow your account more than 10GB/month! In other words, you are guranteed ATLEAST 10GB of transfer per month. At times our server has alloted a single user 200GB of transfer!)

plan4:
-$55/year (needs to be an upfront payment for the whole year)
-25GB of storage (2.5GB of streaming files allowed)
-PHP support
-5 MYSQL database(s) (run a forum/picture gallery/custom script etc)
-1 Cronjob
-(10) 24/7 FTP accounts
-(2) free email accounts with 1GB of storage per account!
-Free dvxhost subdomain with the option of parking your own domain!

plan5- ULTIMATE PLAN!
-$120/year (needs to be an upfront payment for whole year, order two years at once and pay $85/year instead of $120!)
-100GB of storage (10gb of streaming files allowed)
-1TB (terabyte) of transfer/month!!!!!!
-PHP support
-10 MYSQL Databases
-5 Cronjobs
-(25) 24/7 FTP accounts
-1 linux shell account!
-UNLIMITED email accounts
-Free dvxhost subdomain with option to park your own domain!

Thanks to all the users who conducted the free beta test and helped me come up with this pricing. Hopefully all the users here who are interested feel that this is compeditively priced. I do my best, dvxhost is still non-profit. If you have any questions feel free to reply here, pm me or send an email to jordan@xpcmedia.com with the subject "dvxhost".

Later dvxusers!

I'm sure some interested would like to sample the throughput of your server, internet pipes, etc. Do you have a sample URL with video at different resolutions, etc? Going to the URL associated with your EMAIL generates the following mysterious message:

doh! i "accidently" deleted the site :( be back soon,
for now go to http://welcometotehscene.com

It might also be a good idea to describe your hardware architecture, sharing arrangements/load balancing, and network topology. Looking at the above URL, I see a forum that mentions xpcmedia.com is now "down". If you're bouncing around various URLs and primarily selling sub-domains, this instability will probably lead to customer frustration (who give their audience an out-of-date URL domain). Also, you should describe the location of the server (which country) - if it's not located near a top-tier NAP, the end-user's pier-to-pier ISP may have throughput problems.

Regards, Michael

Good luck, Michael

no worries, however i am sure its not on a dedicated managed server, but rather shared web hosting with over croweded user databases. If not, i would be suprised. Im all about education, if you have a better deal than me, so be it. :) Its all non-profit here. hehe
