Super 8 - Abrams and Speilberg team up

This movie looks solid. I am excited to put money down to see it.

Every time I see the trailer, I'm reminded why I want to do this for a living.

The exact same feeling I have. Abrams seems to have captured the same tone and aesthetic of oldschool Spielberg.

BTW, I find it hilarious that some people are complaining over the fact that there are almost no black people or minorities in Super 8. It's set in the midwest in the 70's! I grew up in a midwestern suburb in the 70's and 80's and can testify to the fact that I was the blackest thing there. In a school of 400-500 kids there were maybe 5-10 minority kids. And people also forget whites are still the majority in the US. I don't watch Crouching Tiger and complain that there's no Dominicans in it. Absurd.

Well put Batutta.

I'm gonna go see Friday Part 3 and complain about the lack of Irish dudes,

It's probably a big misunderstood Hulk ET that has a gentle way with all those missing dogs and the kids help Hulk ET escape from the bad military guys. ET meets Close Encounters.
