Nice work. I liked that you kept the shot on the guy for most of time during the meeting at the correctional facility (also liked the subtle camera shift that brought their heads closer together and blocked out the guard as it got more personal -- very subtle, yet effective). It was interesting to watch his emotions play off of hers (while she was off camera). I'd actually be curious to see it again, but with only her angle.

Can you explain the shot of the cards after the title? Was the significance because they were different suits (just as the characters were of different bloodlines)?

WOW. Outstanding! ..Like flawless.
Excellent execution all the way around.
Fantastic performance by the lead actor.

QuickHitRecord, you're hitting it on the head with the meaning of the Cards on the last shot. There is a couple more hidden details in the shot with the cards that you really have to look for though. I dont want to give it away. But, I really appreciate the compliments...means a lot

Fantastic colors .... amazing. And there's people who want film to die ... I really don't understand that.

Thanks ropbo....yea I don't undestand it myself...But I personally don't think its going anywhere anytime soon. There's too many people who care dearly for it

Ha ha, yeah! I'm doing a million camera, lens & post tests with it lately because I'll be directing/shooting short with it this summer (currently in pre-prod). Really just trying to understand how it responds in all different kinds of situations and set ups. I'm loving it. Not perfect, but like film I embrace what it does and accept whatever limitations it brings along with it. I have an interview piece I did recently in El Salvador that I'm currently editing, I'll post that when it's done. I dunno if you saw my little Christmas video I shot with it, but in case you didn't here's a link. I also shot and edited a short promo for some friends while we drilled a well in El Salvador last month. You can see that here.

But this thread ain't about me, man. Keep us up to date on your quest to get your feature funded. I definitely want to see your voice heard in the world.
