Sunny Snowboarding Grabs

Here are a few grabs from the other weekend snowboarding at Kirkwood in Tahoe. Quick auto levels color correction and no other corrections for now.

I used 24pa and shutter speeds of 250 to 500.

Here's a short (15 second) clip from the session:

The grabs really look a lot like Warren Miller 16mm footage. Howsabout some footage? Kinda takes me back to my Arri 16SB days - I think that was WMF's camera of choice...

Yes, I'm really happy with the results. The DVX is working out to be a great all around camera.

I'm working on the footage. Will post a clip soon.

not showing up =[
 Weird. I haven't had problems.

Anyone else not seeing the photos? They are located on the zoomforce photo upload site.

the bottom two are slightly overexposed.
how does the motion look with such high shutter speeds for you?
i have shot snowboarding the last 3 weekends (will post screens soon) and the DVX did really well. but on such a day the N 1/64th is not even enough, that´s why i got myself a mattebox and an additional ND 0.6 for snowscenes.

the stills really look like 16mm. i´d just be interested how the motion/strobing looks with this shutter. pleased post a clip when you are ready with one.

I think the 16mm comment comes from the way your camera rendered the blue sky. Looks a lot like daylight ASA 100 16mm negative stock!

FOOTAGE MAN... POST SOME FOOTAGE!

:cheesy:

So what do all of you think of the clip?

Does it do justice to the DVX for use in sports/action? How's the look? Ignore the editing. I'm playing around with the look and feel at the moment.

Thanks!

I'm hurting for some feedback on the clip. :undecided Bunches of viewers but no comments. I would really like to know how people like the render of the clip. Too dark, too soft, etc..?

Thanks!
