ooooookay, was there a point to dangling johnson? Couldn't you have just put a diaper on him?
Other than the....uhhh......special parts. I was enjoying it and it grabbed my attention for some reason. I loved the "bum bum bum buuuum" parts between the puppet and the couple. I hope you get to finish it sometime.
Interesting. At first glance I was kind of interested in this piece but then I started noticing alot of things that detracted me from it. My .02...
The overall look of the piece was a nice effect with the vignetting, sepia and frame stutter feel and the wardrobe was an impressive detail. That being said...
When attempting to mimic a film of this era I would pay close attention and homage to how they shot films back then. Increased frame rates and locked down cameras for example. I wanted to think it was an old school black and white but with the chosen camera set-ups and cinema verite style I was reminded that this is not at all what a film like this would look or feel like. I'd do some research on this and try again. I know they used to choose shots that were almost 'stage like' in appearance so the OTS and other shots just dont work for me.
The 'Puppet' rabbit also took me out. I don't what it is; I see alot of short films that use puppets as characters like we're suppossed to buy into it or something; it worked for Caddyshack but not here. I scratch my head everytime I see a puppet or stuffed animal in someones films; I did it once in 8th Grade but can't remember doing it since. Unless it's Frank OZ and Yoda I wouldn't try it.
Anyway, I lost interest after this element was introduced. Do not mean to sound harsh; just honest. Looked and sounded nice however.
