This was me and my partners first full length music that we directed, edited and shot. We have a few more in the can and are excited about moving them through the editing process as well.

In my opinion, the use of an adapter on this does not add anything at all. Any particular reason why you chose to use one? Sometimes I feel that people use them for the sake of using them. I just found it very distracting.

It was a cool concept and song, and I feel that you could have executed it way better without an adapter. Again, that's just my opinion.

I disagree. It looks like vintage super 16 stock film. The song has a retro sound to it so the look fits the song.

However I think that the editing needs some work. It feels too slow for the kind of music video that it is. Looking at the footage, it doesn't look like you have enough coverage to do that. :(
 
Thanks everyone for the feedback so far.

DMrider, we chose to use the adapter to get more of retro look and feel, the artist owns a record shop and is deeply rooted in that era of lot the music they specialize in, is old funk and soul records from that time frame.

It was our first time using the jib which made hard to focus without having a monitor or anything.

Demustate:
Everything we do is one zero budget so part of the video was shot at one time and the rest later. We wanted to shoot more, but the song has a radio buzz at the moment and it was agree that it would help the record to just get the record out and not worry about some of the facts we just talked.
