Veteran
Last year I shot what I expect to be my last feature film, "Summer of '67". Prior to that, my wife and I (with her directing) produced two silent features that won over 100 festival awards. We took a lot of what we learned from not having any dialogue and applied it to a minimal dialogue film. Summer of '67 explores the Vietnam war era and the relationships between the soldiers and sailors and the women they left behind.
The film was shot in 4K on the FS7 in SLOG (internally). Film grain was added to make it look a bit more organic. I've made two DCP's, one 2K and one 4K, and will be talking to the theater next week to find out if they can actually screen it in 4K. Chances are they can, as Regal theaters largely went over to Sony 4K projectors a few years back.
The movie opens at Regal Hollywood Stadium 27 theater (near Hundred Oaks Mall) in Nashville TN on June 29. It's a regular release and will be there at least a week. If the numbers support it, the film will continue it's run. In addition, the film will screen at the Mid Tenn film festival tomorrow night, and will screen in Bowling Green KY later this year. The DVD will be released on Veteran's day with streaming afterwards.
