Sultry Mysterious Women in Film

I have been trying to rack my brain for great examples of female characters in film that are mysterious, sultry and sexy. I'm not looking for characters that show skin, I'm interested in examples of more classy seductive female characters that seduce men.

a classic example would be Grace Kelly in 'To catch a Thief'. Cary Grant never stood a chance ;-)

If you can think of any more recent examples, your suggestions would be much appreciated.

Recent ones:

the Black Dahlia (Scarlet Johanson). Brian De Palma is a master of the "femme fatale".
To Die For (Nicole Kidman)
LA Confidencial (Kim Basinger)
Basic Instinct (Sharon Stone)

Jessica Rabbit, Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Kathleen Turner, Body Heat

Mary Astor, The Maltese Falcon

Barbara Stanwyck, Double Indemnity

A few modern favourites, off the top of my head:

Isabella Rossellini as Dorothy Vallens in Blue Velvet
Patricia Arquette as Renée Madison/Alice Wakefield in Lost Highway
Barbara Hershey as Mary Magdalene in The Last Temptation of Christ
Geneviève Bujold as Claire Niveau in Dead Ringers
Catherine Keeener as Maxine Lund in Being John Malkovich
Julianne Moore as Maude Lebowski in The Big Lebowski
Diane Weist as Helen Sinclair in Bullets Over Broadway

Oh, yes. She was great in that.

And Linda Fiorentino in The Last Seduction.

She was totally the Bacall of 80’s. She’s already been mentioned several times for Body Heat, and as the voice of Jessica Rabbit, but she basically plays the exact same role in The Man with Two Brains, and it works just as brilliantly – just in a completely different context!

Lauren Bacall in just about anything...but especially To Have and Have Not

Nobody comes close IMHO. I can't believe she was only about 19 in that movie.
