Hi everyone,
Please advise on what's a good wireless microphone that I can use for on the go interviews with my DSLR and H4N Zoom.

We will be covering a lot of carnivals, fairs, festivals, and want the host to have a microphone in hand to speak as well as interview pedestrians. Any suggestions please? Also we're on a very limited budget.

thanks

First of all, "limited budget" means nothing until we get a currency sign and some digits. Be specific and you will get faster, more helpful replies. Low budget for a 14 year old might be a $50 mic, but low budget for a feature shooter might be $1000-- specifics will lead to a faster, more accurate response to your situation. Just a tip.

I would suggest a handheld microphone like a Shure SM58 mic. It offers great noise rejection and has a very nice vocal range. I would suggest also lav'ing the interviewer due to the SM58's low pickup range. I would suggest Sennheiser g3 (or g2 for lower price) dual channel receiver with a lav mic transmitter and a XLR buttplug. That would go into the h4n and I would then suggest throwing a -25db attenuation cable from the h4n line out to the t2i mic in so you get a decent track to sync with in post. That is what I would do on a "limited budget," but that definition may vary for you.

Hi,
sorry. I would like to keep it within $250 for the microphone.
I will check out what you have just suggested. If there are anymore you think of, please do share.
