i am cutting a documentary about a band i am working with right now. i have the interview/performances in what i beleive to be final cut and now its time to lay some picture animations/montages on top of it. i will be using after effects to put them together and i wanted to see what kind of workflow anyone has used in the past for this. heres what i am thinking:
- take the pictures i want to use and lay them in a new video channel approximately where i intend to use them.
- run through the flick and make sure i like where they are.
- when i have come up with final placement for them, dump them into after effects and animate accordingly.
i do my after effects work on my laptop and have it networked with my pc which is soley for avid, so i can easily reference both at the same time as well as share files. anyone have any suggestions, speaking from experience.
thanks!
