Im looking to buy a stedicam system but dont have th 6,000 or more to buy a pro model. I was thinking about the Magiccam and glidecam they are both less then 2,000 are there any others Im missing ????

Good point it would help if I said what I was using it for.
Well I shoot with the A1 and soon to add an hvx200 to the mix
I basicly shoot low budget films
and want to spend less then 3,000
I don't really like the Merlin Id like more of a vest system

In some cases, yes... but in most, no, it's not. If you have any accessories on your cam, you'll exceed the weight limits and render it useless.

How about the Steadicam Pilot?
Also, note that the Steadicam Merlin is available with a vest & arm now too, bringin it's camera capcity up over to about 7lbs, which is space for basic accessories on either the A1 or the HVX200
