I feel that I now need to go and take a picture of my DVX wearing a gold alarm clock necklace and a big pimp hat. Maybe a fur coat hung around the sticks?

Final assesment, DVX would pimp slap the HVX, and possibly turn it out to pay for more tapes.

Do you think DV50 and DV25 will really look night and day? I guess there will be a visible difference, but nothing massive in normal shooting.

and I spelled it wrong....oh man..i gatta pay attention in English class more often instead of staring at the girls in my class...ne one have a suggestion how to do this?....this is wayyy harder than like learning how to use a DVX...or figuring out wat that clunking is when you tilt the camera back and forth when its off.

Barry should write a book...."The How To: Not Stare At Girls In English"

..or write a tutorial or suttin...

I just thought that was funny, it reminded me of the line in Catch Me If You Can when Tom Hanks is in pretending to be a doctor and he asks the other doctors if they concur.

For what it's worth, I think it's a tough call on the DVX/HVX street brawl.

The HVX's pimp hand is much stronger (100Mb vs 25Mb/s).
But the HVX would have to stop and rest every 8 minutes or so while it swapped P2 cards. As long as the DVX could hang with the first round, which it might be able to given that it's lighter and probably faster, then it could hit the HVX while it's vulnerable.

And by the way, it was DiCaprio's character who was pretending to be the doctor, not Hanks.
 
Interesting observation Luis about the HVX and DVX battle....hmm....maybe G Money Barry might have some insight into the battle that we might not know bout....
 
You I might just wait it out till my DVX gets old and look into getting it mod with reelstreem. It's alot cheaper than the HVX plus I'm sure in a year they'll have a special harddrive that will capture all those frames. Just a tought.

Well, think of it like this -- what if it was like Bruce Lee was cloned, so you had two identical guys with identical skills duking it out -- pretty close match, right? Then give one of them 30 more pounds of muscle and a machine gun.

Gotta love the DVX, but it couldn't stay in the same room as the HVX. That's why the HVX costs 50% more...
