Now to the problem:
When we export a .mov file from avid, we sometimes see a slight stuttering in the file during camera movements - especially pans. This stutter is increased exponentially when we create a .wmv file from squeeze. We have been working with p2 and avid for about a year and a half and this has only become a problem in the last few months. This issue was accompanied by playback issues in the avid using the fullscreen playback option, but we just upgraded to MC5 from MC3.5.4 and added the matrox box which has eliminated the playback issue, but the more important deliverable export is still flawed. In the new MC5, the composer window does show some horizontal tearing during playback at the places where the stuttering occurs in the export.
If anyone has run into this before I would love to hear your input. I have tried just about every setting i could think to try including transcodes to dnx 145/220/etc... changing export settings/codecs... and I seem to be a bit out my league.
Thanks.
