stupid TC question...

So I this is probably stupid, but how do I reset the TC time? I've already unloaded what footage I had on my card yet the TC is still at like 00:45:23:00 and I can't get it to reset, pressed the reset button, tried going into options but nothing. Any idea? I lost my manual unfortunatley and I never really bothered much with TC, but this is kind of bugging me. I'm sure its an easy thing to do, which makes me feel worse hehe.

I changed mine to show 'clip length' instead of timecode. I don't really understand the purpose of timecode now that we're tapeless, and it makes a lot more sense for me to see individual clip length, which resets to zero every time I stop recording.

Perhaps this has negative implications for the post workflow, but I'm using PP CS4 and the MainConcept transcoder and haven't noticed any problems yet.

its pretty useful with a multiple camera shoot. If you set the TC to continuous on 2 cameras, and then sync them together, the TC will always be running and lets say you were using final cut's multiclip feature, you could line footage up based on timecodes.

If you are only using 1 camera and do not us the TC for on shoot logging sheets, then it really doesnt make much of a difference what kind of TC you choose to use haha.

I like that the TC reset is in the menu and not directly accessable by button. On multi-camera shoots (of which I do a lot), I would be sunk if I accidently hit the TC reset button and it went back to zero on me. I would then use my sync between cameras. So, for me, I like the way Panny set it up.
