Stupid question: Field of View of 35mm adapter?

Hi, all! Quick question: When using a 35mm DoF adapter, are the depth of field and field of view equivalent to 35mm still photography (Full-Frame), or to 35mm motion picture (S35)?

For example, in Full Frame still photography, a 28mm lens is wide angle. In S35 motion picture film, an 18mm lens is wide angle.

Thanks in advance!

Depends on which adapter you use, and how large that adapter's ground glass is, and how much you zoom in on it.

If you're talking about something like a Pro35 or mini35, they have fixed relay lenses and a fixed image size that matches 35mm motion picture size.

But other adapters, like the Brevis and Letus, allow you to zoom out and get a 36x24mm frame size (same as 35mm still photography) or even larger.
