Stupid People

How about camera men who shoot a commercial and foget to hit the record button......losing an entire line of critical dialog....didn't realize it till I got the footage captured!

that always sucks
 
lol now thats stupid or when the camera operator or DP show the footage to see if the shot was good but then forget to pla it through and they tape over the shot.
 
That would definately suck. I was on a shoot where the cam op had lots of everything. Everything but the batteries! Made for a very long day...wonder if he's still in the biz..?
 
Or how about the director who sets up two DVX100's so that he can capture both closeups of a dialogue scene, but doesn't match the settings on the cameras (or even know how to operate either of them) and ruins a whole day of footage.

I was on that set.
 
Or how about the camera asistant that the client made me use, who double exposed the film by putting the film through the camera twice.....

can't fix that one in post.
 
How about the camera operator who, after the scene is set and the camera is framed, zooms in and adjusts the focus to get the slate.
