It's too hot outside so I'm fooling around with DVX today in my apt, after a 3 months hiatus. It picked up the bright red wall rather nicely don't you think? I had problems with Reds when i first got the cam but it might have been my inexperience.
Unbeleivable-
I've seen posts from this guy all over the place-usually openly critical of everyone's work, and I think to myself, "wow, when this guy puts something up, it had better be epic..." well, the battleship mouth has presented the rowboat results for all to see...thanks. Buy some Jet-Dry.
Victor, read my topic for this thread and then put everything into context. Try it.. it's not so hard..
If you were referring to the comments i made on Policar's caps, then you must have also read my post which openly praised his 2nd attempt.
I can post stupid caps all day if I want to. I've already done enough projects that's at least half way decent so I don't need to post merely to impress.
That red snapshot really shows a limitation of the 4:1:1 compression scheme of DV. Take a look at the hard line between the top of the couch and the red wall. That doesn't exist when human eyes look at that same scene. Be aware of that type of stuff when shooting...
You could always hang the glass up on a clothes line on a stormy sand planet like in a second-season Star Trek episode ("Mudd's Women") and sandblast the tableware...
Hehe.. i actually applied a slight sharpening filter to both images.. don't ask me why.. but finally someone saw it. good eye! here's some unmodified caps with strong colors that i found on my tape.. they're from a project I did a few months back. DVX did great!
Old Film Effect... Trust me.. the DVX is not this noisy!
