Forgive my ignorance, but what kind of cable is coming out of the back of the SATA-1 enclosure? Is that going through a port mulitiplier?
 
No. it's basically 4 seperate cables coming out of the back of the unit. It's bundled together. I purchased it from ProMax back in 2004.

Aram is helping me with this because I'm away until Friday.
