ACESS VIOLATION
STRUCTURED EXCEPTION
AVID XPRESS PRO HD
I know that usually the only thing we see posted here are problems, so it's nice to have solutions archived in the forum as well. Here's one that ate up my entire afternoon.
Problem:
I needed to output my movie to tape, so I pulled my hard drive off the shelf and put it in the editor. I usually have no trouble opening the project and playing back the timeline, but this time I got ACCESS VIOLATIONS from Avid and the playback monitor remained black and said "STRUCTURED EXCEPTION" in the bottom left corner.
Fix:
The solution was to create a NEW USER PROFILE in Avid and then create a NEW PROJECT. Once in the new project I was able to import the bin from the other project and playback the timeline.
Hope this helps. It may have already been discussed, but a lot of links I found wouldn't come up in the V6 version of DVXUser (they were old V3 archives).
