Strobing and interlacing problems......

I just edited a project in FCP 7 with footage that was shot in different formats on different cameras, something that is not recommended I know. All the shots I did with my HVX at 720p look great. But some shots from a Canon DSLR at 1080i look terrible. There is strobbing and interlacing all over the place. Is there a way to fix this in FCP? Will de-interlacing the footage reduce the strobbing? Is there a way to de-interlace only interlaced footage and not progressive footage?

Canon DSLR's do not shoot interlace.
The 720p is not interlaced.
Are you viewing footage on an ext. broadcast monitor?

The strobing is probably 1080i/24p.
