Strobing 24pa footage

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I used 24pa for the first time on a recent shoot. I have an interior shot using a 1k though an outside window for backlighting, and the light through the window on that shot is strobing when I import it. It’s not strobing on the raw footage. I’m sure this has been addressed before, but when I searched I couldn’t find anything that addressed this kind of specific problem. I’m also seeing some light strobing in a shot that shows a somewhat bright sky in the background.

Is there something special that I have to do with 24pa footage to avoid or get rid of this when importing the footage?

Edit: Apparently I've posted twice before. Wrong week to quit huffing glue.

Is it tungsten balanced or daylight balanced? If you notice, if you are in any progressive mode and aim the camera at a CRT TV, it will flicker...

so you're not seeing in the raw footage but you only see it when you import it to your computre?
that sounds more like a FCP/Premiere thread question...
...I don't get the picture tho, do have any sample stills???

No camera movement.
Tungsten balanced -- no natural daylight in the shot -- just the 1k through the window.
Using Premiere 1.5 (I know, I know -- it's WAY past the time to upgrade) - imported as widescreen 24p (was shot in squeeze mode).

I debated which section to post this, but since it might be an issue with this particular footage and how its shot/interlaced and may be unique to the DVX, I thought that the problem might not be dependent on the NLE.

Positive. I've always shot with standard 24p -- this is the first project that I've used 24pA. I wanted to try it and see the difference after reading your posts (I think it was you David) about the advantages of advanced over standard 24p. The rest of the footage looks pretty good.

I can upload a clip tonight.

are you sure you've selected advanced pulldown 2:3:3:2 in PP 1.5?

No -- I didn't see an option for advanced pulldown -- just the project setting for 24p. I know this isn't the section for Premiere questions, but...is there a setting for 2:3:3:2 in 1.5? And if so, do you have to select it prior to dumping the footage or can you do it after?

I appreciate the time and feedback everyone has provided.

Was auto-focus ON? I have found that with auto-focus your foreground object can be in focus, and the background will sort of strobe in and out of focus. I've seen this on numerous occassions, and just stopped using auto-focus.
